For the purposes of regarding the Vienna Convention for the Protection of the Ozone Layer and Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer the Government of the Russian Federation has developed and approved “Regulation on procedure of import into the Russian Federation and export from the Russian Federation of ozone depleters and products containing them”. For the control over the observance of this regulation the State Customs Committee of the Russian Federation issued Order No. 336 dated May 31, 1996. This document began to regulate the procedure of import and export of products containing substances that deplete the ozone layer, as well as it states the list of substances that deplete the ozone layer which are subject to the government regulation. Decisions on capability of import into the RF and export from the RF of the substances that deplete the ozone layer and products containing them are made by the Federal Service for Ecological, Technological and Atomic Supervision pursuant to Order No. 101 dated September 24, 2004.
